What a service robot costs

You will not find a price on this page. You will find what a deployment is made of, what pushes it up and what pulls it down. Tell us where the robot should work and you get a figure within two working days.

The short answer

A service robot is not one line item. It is four: the machine, the deployment at your site, the monthly platform, and support. The gap between the smallest and the largest deployment is a multiple, so any published number is wrong for somebody. We publish the structure and send the number.

01 — Structure

What a deployment is made of

  1. 01The machineThe robot itself. We pick the model by the job, not by the catalogue: a transparent screen that drives, a service robot with trays, a cleaning machine, or a humanoid. The machine can be bought outright or folded into the monthly line.
  2. 02Deployment at your siteSurveying the space, the map, the charging dock, the routes and the points the robot drives to. Content belongs here too: what the robot says, in which languages, and in which voice. This is a one-off cost and the largest part of month one.
  3. 03The platformThe monthly part. The console where you see every robot, changing what it says from a browser, voice and data inside the EU, updates and monitoring. Without it a robot is a device you receive and then have to worry about yourself.
  4. 04Support and wearRemote response, wear parts, and a visit to site when one is genuinely needed. What is included and what is not is named item by item in the contract, not covered by the phrase full support.

02 — Variables

What moves the number

Which robot

A screen that drives around a shopping centre and a desktop information unit at a reception desk are not the same machine and not the same order of magnitude.

How many sites

The second and third site cost less than the first. Content, voice and staff training are prepared once. The map of the space is the only part that repeats.

Driving or standing

Driving means surveying the space, a map, a charging dock and a test run during opening hours. A robot that stands in one place needs none of it.

Languages and how often content changes

Four languages are not four times the work. Changing promotions daily, on the other hand, is a different agreement from content that sits still for six months.

Connecting to your systems

If the robot should answer from your product list or your schedule, that is a one-off integration. We read one way only and write nothing back into your systems.

The building itself

Floors, lifts, flooring, aisle width and wireless coverage. An old building is workable, but somebody has to see it before a price is written down.

03 — Commercial models

Three ways this gets paid for

Purchase

You buy the machine; platform and support are monthly. Over a longer run this is the lowest total cost.

Monthly fee with a term

Machine, platform and support in one monthly figure. Smallest amount up front. The term is at least twelve months, because below that a deployment pays off neither for you nor for us.

Paid pilot

A first deployment with criteria and a deadline agreed in advance. You watch the robot work in your own space before committing to anything longer.

We do not do single-day hire for permanent deployments. For one day there are Jože and Tonka, and that is a different route.

In a shopping centre there is a fourth route. The centre already sells advertising space, and the screen is advertising space, so a brand can cover part or all of the robot. How that is put together is a conversation, not a web page.

04 — Presence

How many hours of presence you get

This calculator does not convert a robot into headcount. It measures one thing: how many hours a month the robot is present with you, and how many site visits it takes to change what it says.

It works your whole opening hours. When the rush eases it takes itself back to the charging dock, and it is back before you need it again.

The values you set travel with your enquiry. We do not answer blind.

Questions

What people ask first

How much does a service robot cost?
We do not publish prices, because deployments differ by a multiple. We do publish the structure: machine, one-off deployment, monthly platform, support. Once you tell us where the robot should work and how many sites you have, you get a figure within two working days.
Is maintenance included?
Remote response and updates sit in the monthly line. Wear parts and site visits are named item by item in the contract, together with response times. What is not written down is not included, and that is better known before signing.
How long does a deployment take?
From confirmed order to a robot doing its job is usually a few weeks. Mapping the space and preparing content take the time, not delivery.
How long does it run on one charge?
It works your whole opening hours. When the rush eases it takes itself back to the charging dock, and it is back before you need it again. The dock is part of the deployment, not an accessory.
Can I try one first?
Yes. A first deployment is a paid pilot with criteria and a deadline agreed in advance. For a single day at a trade fair or an opening, the humanoids Jože and Tonka are the way to do it.
Does the price include more than one language?
Yes. Multilingual operation is a setting, not extra development. The number moves only when there is materially more content per language, a full catalogue rather than wayfinding, for example.
