01 · What changes for you

The route is the same every day. A pallet from the ramp to the line, a crate from the line to dispatch, fifteen times a shift. Whoever drives it holds a forklift licence, and those are getting harder to find; half of the trips are made empty.

The robot takes over exactly that route. It drives through a hall where people walk and forklifts move, it stops in front of an obstacle and it needs neither tape on the floor nor a rebuilt hall. Loading and unloading stays with people, because that is where a person is worth most.

Which model comes to you is decided by your pallet and by how wide your aisles are. The forklifts lift up to 1.5 tonnes to 2.5 metres, the carts move up to 300 kilograms. An open software development kit connects it to your task system, so it drives on your orders and not on a separate list somebody keeps by hand.

We usually recommend starting with one route and measuring it before and after. If that one route pays off, the decision about the next one is easy, and until it does, you have not bought a fleet. The first setup is done with your production manager, not from a floor plan in an office.

It stops in front of an obstacle, gives way to people and keeps to the same route even when the hall is full. There is no tape on the floor and no rebuilding.

It charges itself during the shift

When the battery runs low it goes to the dock and carries on when it is full. The shift does not stop and nobody plugs it in.

An open software development kit connects it to your task system. The jobs come from the system you already use, not from a separate list somebody keeps by hand.

You can see whether one route pays off

How many trips per shift, how long one trip takes and where the queue builds up. The first setup is a single route, measured before and after, so you decide on a number and not on a feeling.
